Over The Next Seven Months…

For those of you who follow my blog regularly, I apologize for not updating  more frquently lately.  We have been busy moving and traveling through New Jersey visiting family and friends.  We had a great time yesterday visiting Jacqueline’s home church, Bethel Christian Center. 

Every time we are with the Bethel family, I am amazed at the consistency of Pastor Kurt Kinney’s messages.  He always brings a strong Gospel message tempered with genuine love and humility. Pastor Kurt is just starting to blog and hope he finds that “blog groove” so we can keep up with the inside info on this great South Jersey church!

I love connecting with friends and family here, but I sure do miss my North Carolina crew!  You guys are da best!

As many of you know, we have sold our home and have been living with friends and relatives until we head off to Mexico for an intensive cross cultural immersion training in Cuernavaca on Sept 12-Nov 22.  I look forward to this key transitional time of equipping for our family.  Much thanks to Pastors Troy and Penny Maxwell for making this trip possible for us.  We couldn’t ask for more supportive leaders!

However, before we head out to Mexico, we have a few more things ahead of us. 

I am excited to return this week and prepare to bring the message at Freedom House  for all three main services this Sunday August 17th.  If you are a friend, but don’t regularly attend FHC, you have my personal invite to come and visit this coming week!  The Lord has been stirring a message in my heart for many weeks now and I am excited about imparting a little piece of my heart and the passion that drives me in this missions calling.

On August 20th, I along with my friend and missions team leader Olan Carder, will be leading our first ever “Global Purposes Fellowship” meetings at Freedom House.  If you have even a small curiosity about God’s calling to reach the nations in our generation and the part you can play, then make plans to be at the church office next Wed at 7:30 pm.  Learn more or sign up online by clicking here.  Don’t miss this powerful vision and prayer meeting! At the beginning of September, our family will spend about two weeks in Louisiana and look forward to connecting with friends from Healing Place Church and Household of Faith as well as meeting up with some new friends.  All around some good Cajun food, of course! “Laissez les bon temps rouler”!

After the training in Mexico, we have the holidays and then only a couple of months of traveling to raise up our partner support before we make our launch to Thailand!  Keep us in prayer as we move through each of these key times.  There are loads of little details that need to be worked out and things that need to happen along the way.

We love all of our friends and hope to connect with you all at least once more before we depart!
